Hello Again
Hello again!
I would just like to apologize for my EXTREME lack of posts. This is what happens when life and computer malfunctions and absolutely no free time happens on a regular basis. I, once again, sincerely apologize. Now that I'm done with the college course from Hades, my life is now worry free (and stress free if I might add). But, the couple high lights of this lovely summer are ones that I would love to share with you.
I have fallen in love... with yoga and pilates. If any of you have taken a class and experienced the gratification of taking one, I applaud you. Yoga is such a serene environment where I can wind down and let my mind go and relax while sweating my behind off at the same time. A dear friend of mine has recently taken me to a Pilates Reform class and I thank her from the bottom of my heart! That was the most amazing and self gratifying work out class I have ever taken. Even in the midst of the muscle aching stretches and reps, I loved every single second of it. I felt so incredibly amazing afterwards that I cannot wait for my next session. If any of you lovely readers ever have the sudden urge or interest in taking a pilates of yoga class, sign up right away and take one! I guarantee that you won't regret it. And plus, the very first yoga or pilates class that you take is usually free. How can you not resist?
Second of all, drive in's are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I can't believe I have never gone to one. I had the greatest time with one of my best friends and his family running around our cars and shoveling down one decadent candy bar after the other. The friendly, family environment has to be one of the reasons why, even after the 50's, these incredible places are still around. (Even though drive in's in the 50's were stereotyped for one thing only...) But that is besides the point.
I promise that I will keep up with posts from now on now that I have my new found freedom! I hope all of you are having a fantastic summer, as I'm sure you are. So I will leave you with this question....
What has been the most amazing experience you've had this summer?
xoxo Kayla

Jacket: Ann Taylor

Faux Leather leggings: Urban Outfitters

Today has not been a good day. I woke up after a late night of studying for finals and immediately ran to the bathroom and spent half of that morning with the 'porcelain throne', if you know what I mean... After some recovering, I went to school and took my finals for the day. First day accomplished, two more days of finals to go!
Anyway, how are you guys doing? :) Now about this outfit, I had this jacket from Ann Taylor in the back of my closet for a while and I forgot how much I loved it. Especially the structure. This necklace I've had for a while from Urban Outfitters is one of my favorites. It's made out of pink, soft fabric and decorated with a gold chain and studs. Chic yet edgy. Hope you enjoy, and I love hearing your guys comments :) they make my day!

Mumford & Sons
Last night, as I had announced, was the Mumford & Sons concert I had ranting about! And let me just tell you, I loved mumford before, but after seeing them live... I just love them even more. They have such an undying passion and talent for their music and it was so entirely amazing to see. Hands down, the best concert I have ever been to. I went with my best friend, Hayley, and we ended up having the most amazing seats (big thanks to Hayley's mom!) They were front row balcony seats. And a surprising guest sat in front of through out the entire show, mister Jake Gyllenhaal! It was quite different to see someone you would normally see on the big screen, actually sitting directly in front of you. The opening bands were a one man band, Adam Stockdale, and the lovely band The Middle East. Both fantastic opening bands, I couldn't get enough of their music.
As I posted before, I would post pictures documenting this amazing concert, but I came into a frightening bump in the road when security told me I couldn't bring my camera inside! Turns out I had to have a "photo pass". How the heck was I supposed to know that?! But since I didn't have a car or anywhere else to put my camera, they told me I wasn't allowed to go inside to see the concert. But after much deliberation with the security guard, he allowed me to go inside but I wasn't allowed to take my camera out of my purse and take photos, otherwise if he caught me doing so, all photos would be deleted and I would have to leave. Of course I agreed and he immediately let me inside, bless his heart...
Mumford & Sons completely took my breath away and I still cannot believe I actually witnessed this amazing band live. I'm already planning on going to the next concert scheduled in L.A.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous day so far :)

You ever have the feeling like the weight of the world is being put on your shoulders? That's how I feel... What I really need is some alone time outside in the California sun with my favorite chai tea, curled up with some poetry and the classics. But the three day weekend I have been anticipating is finally here! I hope all of you have a fabulous memorial day :)

"Dark blue, dark blue have you ever been alone in a crowded room when I'm here with you."
Inspired Song: Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin
Trench: Juicy Couture
Black dress: H&M
Necklace: Forever 21
Shoes: Payless
This new trench coat of mine is a special find. I found this lovely beauty in one of my favorite thrift shops, The Buffalo Exchange. And not only was it affordable, but it was Juicy Couture! I have been wearing Juicy ever since I was at least 12 years old and now at age 16, Juicy will always remind me of my pre teen and early teen years.
I have been SUPER busy lately and have not been able to post as much as I would like, so bare with me please! haha I really appreciate all of your lovely comments. You guys are amazing! :)
Question of the Day: What/Who inspired your style during your early years as a pre teen or teenager?

"Do what you want to whenever you want to, though it doesn't mean a thing. Big nothing."
Inspired Song: Ballad of Nothing by Cymbals Eat Guitars
Blazer: Urban Outfitters
Floral Corset Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Love Bracelet: boutique in the city
Three finger ring: F21
Stone ring: boutique
The blazer I bought in the picture is one of the only blazers I don't wear as often as I should. Only because it is so big on me and makes me bigger than I look... haha But that is besides the point, its still a nice and extremely soft blazer. This floral shirt is one of my favorites! I had two posts I was going to do featuring this shirt, but decided to do it in one post instead. But, summer is just around the corner! I need to start pulling out some of my summer wardrobe and maybe some shopping as well? :)
What is your guys favorite summer piece/pieces to wear?
Thanks for viewing! Hope everyone is doing well :)
